The newest gadget in my blogging bag is actually a camera I've had for a few months - a Canon SD1000. It's super small, takes great shots at 7.1 megapixels, has 4 gigs of storage -- about 740 plus shots at highest res, and has long battery life using a rechargeable lith-ion battery.

I consider it "new" since it now has a renewed purpose, which is to take constant pictures for this blog. Out of all the blogs I visit, I certainly enjoy the ones which provide lots of visuals. No offense to the content but a massive block of text sometimes is a bit much.

What i'll be trying first is to manage photos in iPhoto and upload to Flickr, then grab the Flickr feed to throw into a particular blog which may have more photos. But the primary objective will be to include at least one photo in every story to give it a graphic element.

The Canon SD1000 is in the bag. I'll also be carrying a spare battery. I'll be sharing other gadgets in my bookbag in future posts.
