Over the next few months, I'm aiming to build my blog as a better business resource by listing companies I blog about in the floral industry and association community in a buyer's guide format. For this function, i'm turning to Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 (aka SOBI2) developed by Sigsiu.net.

SOBI2 is a directory component for the WCMS Mambo and Joomla to show entries of companies, clubs, persons, shops, products, etc. The entries are divided into categories, which can contain subcategories. One entry can be entered in several categories. The companies/clubs/persons enter themselves in the index -- however, until I get up to speed, i'll probably enter companies myself for the first time around.

I'll be posting my first directory for floral industry Point of Sale companies since I'm penning another PluggedIn column for SAF's Floral Managment magazine this week. Since i've gathered all the POS contact information, the new SOBI2 directory I'll have up will serve as a reference for me as I pen future POS articles as well as for florist looking for POS vendors. More about floral POSs in a later blog.

I just installed Joomla http://rapid4me.com/?q=joomla+tutorial yesterday, and I was messing around with it for a while, got it to look exactly how I wanted it, and now today I'm getting the message "PLEASE REMEMBER TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY.".....I've removed the directory since yesterday. Am I missing something?
